Skala is located 31 km southeast of Argostoli. The village is newly built and moved from the hill after the earthquake. In the old village, with the beautiful views of the Ionian, there are old fountains, windmills and the ancient temple of Apollona (5th century BC) near the church of St. George. The beach of the area,with the pine that reaches the coast, is ideal for swimming.
