The access to the island is quite easy. You can travel by air, depart from the airport El.Venizelos and arrive at the airport of Kefalonia, which is 8km. away from Argostoli, tel 26710-41301, while the duration of the flight is 1 hour and 10 minutes. Also, there are daily bus routes from Athens ,via Patras or Kyllini, to Kefalonia, KTEL Athens: til.210-5150785, KTEL Kefalonia: tel 26710-22281. By boat, there are routes from Patras to Sami ,throughout all the year, as well as from Kilini to Poros and Argostoli (maritime of Kyllini tel 26230-92211). From Athens to Patras and Kilini there are routes of buses(KTEL) or train (OSE).Kefalonia is connected throughout the year with Ithaki (Pisaeto), Lefkada (Nidri, Vassiliki) and Zakynthos (Skinari).
